SUMMARY

This hands-on leadership role will consistently provide a high quality customer experience to the consumer in conjunction with the company's core values. The position will be responsible for supervising the overall distribution activities including shipping, receiving, and inventory management control.  The position will require a strong work ethic with good planning and organizational skills assisting employees in meeting their key performance goals.  It will require good working customer relations and data driven problem solving skills while driving toward the continuous improvement of operations for the company.

There is an opportunity for this individual to rotate through other manufacturing management roles in time.     

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Budgetary Control which includes, but not limited to
  • Analyze inbound and outbound freight costs
  • Negotiate with Suppliers and Shippers on Rates
  • Evaluate staffing needs, Mentor/Grow existing team
  • Creating and executing to yearly budget
    

• Customer Satisfaction
  • Must have continuous partnership with Customer Service to deliver goods efficiently to customers
  • Maintenance and Coordination of Order Flow between Distribution and Customer Service
  • Daily review of established Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Develop new business appropriate KPIs
    

• Leadership to Staff
  • Provide appropriate staffing resources based on yearly sales plan
  • Manages others in Staff recruitment, selection, orientation and training.
  • Mentors and coaches employees to reach their individual goal
    

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of management experience with emphasis in a warehouse/operations setting demonstrating a progressively increasing level of responsibility. Must be able to demonstrate a high level degree of data driven thinking to participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of budgets, KPI's, Goals, and objectives to the improvement of processes.
• Ability to work with little supervision and to multi task and problem solve in a fast paced environment
• Proficiency with MS Office and Excel in particular is required.
• Experience with an ERP system like Oracle's eBusiness Suite or SAP is preferred.
• Budget Management and the understanding of P&L management with experience in Lean Operations is desired
• 4 Year Degree in Business, Management, or Engineering preferred
