Far Bank Enterprises, holding company for the leading fly fishing brands Sage, Redington and RIO Products, has a unique internship opportunity for those pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  This Summer position offers participation and in some cases ownership in specific projects tied to our RIO Products Int'l production. 

This position will be based at our RIO Production facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  While reporting to the Process Engineer in Operations, you will need to collaborate with other on-site departments including the broader production managers and leads as well as the Research and Development team.

Position Summary

The RIO Mechanical Engineer Intern will combine office, lab and production time to assist in research, development, testing, and set up of new state of the art fly fishing materials and process.  

The overarching goal is to redesign certain tools used for the production of our fly lines.

Job Requirements  

• Pursuing degree in Mechanical Engineering field
• Helpful would be hands on experience in such areas as machine shop manufacturing, auto shop, construction, manufacturing.
• Fully proficient with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office suite. 
• Experience using basic shop fabrication tools and equipment as well as lab test equipment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Compensation

• hourly wage
• Bonus of a float trip with the RIO team to understand up close and personal the results of your project work
