Far Bank Enterprises is seeking an Equipment and Process Development Engineer to expand our existing Product Development team at the RIO Products factory in Idaho Falls, ID. You will be responsible for designing and building specialized equipment as well as optimizing the processes used to manufacture our products including fly lines, leaders, and tippet. The ideal candidate has hands-on equipment engineering and manufacturing experience. Further experience specific to polymer processing is preferred and enthusiasm for fly fishing would be an added contribution to the creative process. Position Summary:

The RIO Equipment and Process Development Engineer will report to the RIO R&D Engineering Manager while working closely with the Operations team to design innovative solutions to manufacturing problems. This employee must be hands-on and carry out the assembly, programming, and testing of new machinery themselves. Additionally, they will develop and optimize manufacturing processes to produce next generation products with consistently high quality.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in equipment engineering in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient CAD user capable of creating designs and specifications for parts to be manufactured externally
• Strong skills in electrical systems and components including control design, PLCs, motors, etc
• PLC programming experience (Siemens preferred)
• Comfortable performing hands-on assembly and troubleshooting tasks
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional groups
• Must be willing to relocate to Idaho Falls, ID

Job Preferences:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
• Experience with machine tools and ability to fabricate parts independently
• Polymer processing experience including extrusion, injection molding, compounding, etc
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
• Passion for fly fishing or other outdoor recreation is a bonus but not required
