Safety, Environmental and Maintenance Technician

SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Far Bank Enterprises is the holding company for the outdoor brands of Sage, Redington, RIO Products and Fly Water travel. On Bainbridge Island, our main company office, we support the larger number of team members as we focus there on the creation and production of our Sage fly rods.

The Safety, Environment and Maintenance Technician will work in partnership, and support of, Far Bank's Operations and Facilities teams. This position is a Monday through Friday role, based on Bainbridge Island with occasional required projects at our downtown Seattle location.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A self-starter and one, while crucial to team support, is also self-sufficient in prioritizing individual tasks and projects.
• Excellent computer skills - maintenance tracking software, MS office
• Demonstrated experience handling and documenting industrial hazardous waste disposal.
• 1+ year experience troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining equipment and/or machinery (apprenticeship/technical school education equivalent)
• Manage regularly scheduled maintenance tasks for industrial equipment.
• Hydraulic, electronic, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, PLCs, Commercial ovens, electric motors, etc.
• Some responsibilities related to facilities, janitorial, misc.
• Basic skills in home and commercial electrical repairs
• Comfort operating scissor lifts, forklifts, ladders, performing heavy lifting, operating power hand tools, driving a box truck
• Perform scheduled safety inspections and assess needs of varying facilities.
• Basic Woodworking and fabrication skills are a must
• Machine shop knowledge / experience (lathe, CNC mill) is a plus
• Welding/metal fabrication skills a plus

COMPENSATION This is an hourly position, with a pay range between $18.00 and $23.00, salary offered will be determined based off of experience and skillset.

Addition benefits include our company's Roth or Standard 401(k) plan, 8 holidays per calendar year, and employee purchases. Also, employees will be able to accrue 3.38 hours of Vacation for every 80 hours worked (2 weeks/year) and 1 hr sick leave for every 40 hours worked (~52hr/year). Hired candidates eligible to participate in any potential profit sharing.
