Our search is for a Senior Accountant with a developing business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit who strives to own their own tasks and projects but equally enjoys partnering with all departments at our Washington, Idaho, and Oregon locations.

SUMMARY

This will be a highly visible role supporting the Controller and CFO to support the company's current growth initiatives. We are seeking a strong senior or early accounting manager who desires growth from within the organization. The candidate who steps into this role likes to dive into the information and problem solve while also providing knowledge, information, and support to outlying departments.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly closing processes, including preparation of standard and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations and coordinate with Accounts Receivable on customer deposits
• Ad hoc projects and financial analysis based on requests from internal customers
• Respond to audit inquiries as required
• Maintain compliance through timely preparation and filing of various state & local tax returns
• Follow established accounting processes while developing and implementing new procedures
• Support production on working capital metrics with an early focus on inventory
• Support acquisition and diligence work as we take advantage of market opportunities

Skills and Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or related field
• Experience with sales tax nexus and compliance a plus
• Proficient in Excel
• In-depth hands-on experience with accounting software - Microsoft Dynamics a big plus!
• Attention to detail and deadline-oriented
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
