Far Bank Enterprises is excited to expand our Production team by adding a night shift, Production Supervisor-in-Training to our Bainbridge Island facility!

As the leader in fly fishing, Far Bank manages the Sage, Redington, RIO Products, and Fly Water Travel fly fishing brands. Far Bank is an inclusive workplace that feeds off fun, fishing, and innovation.

Over a six-month period, the Supervisor-in-Training program will give the chosen candidate the necessary on the job training and coaching to be successful as a supervisor. After successful completion of the training requirements, the candidate will be eligible to be promoted to a supervisor position.

The ideal candidate has a manufacturing background and experience with manufacturing planning software (ERP); D365 experience preferred. POSITION SUMMARY

This position will work collaboratively with the production leadership team to supervise the blanks and rods departments on night shift. There will be a strong emphasis on teaching processes and implementing improvements. They will make sure that the administrative duties of interviewing, hiring and terminations are completed in a timely fashion while making sure to create an environment that enhances culture and encourages employee engagement.

JOB FUNCTIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years hands-on experience as a leader in a manufacturing environment or supervision of 10 or more associates is strongly desirable
  • Specialized training related to managerial concepts is encouraged
  • Knowledge of the fishing industry and/or rod assembly is preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing planning (ERP) software, specifically D365 preferred
  • Skilled in MS Office with focused strengths in Excel is desired

  • Utilizes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and adjust performance

COMPENSATION

This is a training position and will start as an hourly position for a six- month training period. The pay range for this position is $22 an hour up to $24 an hour, based on experience and skill set. After successful completion of the training requirements, the candidate will be eligible to be moved to a salaried position.
